Pinterest: The Next Big Thing

A long time ago, I actually joined a website called Pinterest. At first, I thought if was just like Tumblr, because of all the pictures, put in a way, it was different. It's more like a collage of pictures.

Tumblr is dead.

These are some of my "Repins" that I liked <3

.
Looking back on my Pinterest, it's pretty crowded full of useless, but pretty stuff, but I think it's for good use because then I would look back and think of the things I liked as a younger me.

This website is a GREAT way to keep yourself up-to-date with the latest shops and stores. I follow stores like: Aritzia, Forever 21, and etc. They always post the newest stuff even before they publish it on their website. I remember seeing the cutest romper on Aritzia and I was trying to find it. Turns out they didn't even post it on their OWN website yet. So it's great for viewing newer items.

This site is also good for looking at the latest trends, and what to buy. When I ever get stuck deciding what to pair my outfit with, or deciding what to look for, I usually go to Pinterest and see how other girls have put together their outfit (layers are always cute).

From the AMAZING:

Love her style and everything she creates!

I think Pinterest is definitely going to become or is already the next biggest social media site because in commercials, I often see now that some companies are putting the Pinterest logo as one of their social media references at the bottom to visit. While Pinterest is making it's way to becoming more successful and social-worthy, I can definitely say that I was the very few first ones who've created Pinterest before anybody else. So I advise you to make one too, before all of those creative usernames are taken! =D

Maybelline New York Dream Nude AirFoam

All throughout last summer, I've seen multiple commercial advertising this Maybelline New York Dream Nude AirFoam, that I've almost memorized every line of their advertisement. It's been one of my wants for such a long time, and I finally got a chance to buy it!

As you can see, I bought this in the colour of "Pure Beige", and true to it's colour as the outside of the can, which I think is great. It doesn't fool consumers and upset them in buying the wrong colour, as long as they know which skin tone they are.

The instructions below say :

1. Shake can well before use. Remove cap.

I recommend you shake REALLY well, and for a long time too, because the first time i sprayed it out, it was just white foam and I was confused. I was like: "Wow! Am I really this pale?". I thought it expired or something. So I gave it another shake, and it just showed a hint of beige. It wasn't until the third try that it actually came out.

2. Hold can upright and press lightly to dispense a
walnut sized amount of product.
3. Take small dabs of the product from the hand.

When I sprayed this out of the can, A LOT came out. And I mean A LOT. It was like the size of my palm. Don't blame me! It's very hard to control how much comes out, especially if you're new to this whole "foam spray" thing - which I was. So I ended up putting it on my face and seeing how it turned out :P

4. Apply to face one section at a time,
blending with short circular motion.

What I recommend is that you do this step as quickly as possible. Once it's dry, it sets on your face and it's really hard to move around. Especially for sensitive skin, if you try to move the foundation around once it's dry, then you might find your skin turning red underneath because your rubbing too hard.

This is what it looks like straight from the can when you
spay it on.
This is a close up of the moose/foam. See the bubbles?
This is how it looks when I rubbed it on my skin all
over the top area.
Let the foundation set for a little and it will turn a
bit lighter.
Afterwards, swirl the foundation and spread it out
evenly to look like this.

You could see the difference half way down my index finger, that it's a little darker than my usual skin colour. I think I bought this in too dark of a shade, but it does perfectly well. I would probably wear this in the summer to fake my tan cause I don't tan that easily than my friends ;D Other than that, I might get this in a lighter tone next time.

I do admit that this foundation does has it's problems, but I could put up with it. After all, I did buy it, and there's still lots left inside. So I can't complain. All I could do is give you this review for you to decide for yourself if you want to buy this product. I would use this product from time to time on special occasions during the summer when I need it though.

Physicians Formula: Bronze Booster

This bronzing booster is really great for the summer because when the sun radiates on your skin, you're guaranteed someone will notice your skin sparkle and glow.

This bronzer is for medium to dark skin, and even though I have pale skin, I felt like the other bronzer at the drugstore for specific light skin was too light for me. So I went ahead and chose this one.

This bronzer is a very good size. It fits right in the palm of my hand, and it's light weight, considering how much materials it contains in the whole composition.

I really love the bronzing colours here, which is why I chose the Medium to Dark instead of Light to Medium.

There's a little sort of button at the top if you can't notice that instantly opens the case cover and pops right open. Ta-da! Then you have your set of bronzing colours right before you.

What I was really surprised about this bronzer is that it had 3 layers. YES, THREE LAYERS. This was definitely worth $20! So it has a case cover, the bronzer palette...

a MIRROR (to see if you look "oh so pretty", and a placement to hold the ALREADY INCLUDED brush given to you.

At first I thought the brush was a little weird. I thought "HEY! WHO CUT HALF OF MY BRUSH?!?" Then I realized it was designed that way to apply a highlighter your cheekbones in a specific way. (At least I think... :P ) But I won't get pissed off if someone did actually cut it.

My verdict: I really like this bronzer. It's one of the best-buys and I highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for the perfect bronzer for any season. It categorizes the seasons "Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter" so you could just follow that guide and use each colour each season according to your skin tone, and use it all year-round. I would be happy to answer any questions or comment concerning this product :)

Maybelline New York: Dream Bouncy Blush

The only blush I have right now is the Maybelline New York: Dream Bouncy Blush, and I think its okay, but not ideal :/ It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I want to try other blushes before I can label this on my favourite.

The blush I bought was in the colour of a pretty shade named Rose Petal and that's nuber 15. The description on the back is very true. When you open the blush, it feels as "oh so smooth" as creme and very lightweight. I LOVE the texture.

As you can see in this photo, the blush size is very small for $7 :( I just quickly bought it because it was one of my must-haves I wanted for a very long time. I was quite disappointed int the size of the blush because it's smaller than the palm of my hand, and my hands are pretty small. I do like the case design though. It's so modern, simple, classic, and feminine.

When I swiped the blush on my finger, this is how the blush turned out. It's just a tad bit lighter than my finger as you can see. I didn't want anything so noticeable that you end up looking like a clown. I just wanted something subtle and soft.

This is how it turned out when I tested it on my arm.

You can see the difference between my natural skin colour and the blush, which I like because I'm going to be putting this on my cheeks.

All in all, I do like this colour and this product. I'm not sure if it's my "most favourite blush", but I'll experiment with other products later on.

Thanks for reading! :D

Sephora: Moonshadow Baked Palette

A little while ago, I bought a Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette In Nude, for about $30. When I saw it online, I just had to get it because one, it had really pretty colours, and two, it was such a great offer!

I couldn't believe it. So I went out to my nearest Sephora Store and snatched it right up.

What I really like about this palette is that it comes with a mirror, and all of the colours are realistic to put on during any occasion. A feedback I would suggest is that next time, is that it could come with a brush holder or at least a brush.

So these are the 10 colours that are included in the palette (don't worry, there aren't 12, I just retook the colours of "soft gold" and "honey brown".)

I tested each colour either on my hand or on my finger, in case some of you wanted to buy this yourself. These colours are so pretty and easily applied. The colours do change, depending on how many times you swipe it though. The amount of colour in each palette will last you a life time, so this collection is very handy. In case you can't tell, each circle actually POPS up in the shape of a curve, so it's not flat.

Cream
Light Bronze
Soft Gold

Peach

Taupe

Silver

Deep Brown

Honey Brown

Deep Sienna

Plum

Overall, this is the best product that I've bought, and the fact that there is so many colours that blend perfectly and are in the same range of colour tone is fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone who has a Sephora store near them. If you have any comments or questions, just add comment below.
