CoverGirl Capitol Couture: The Hunger Games

If you're a Hunger Games crazed fan like I am, you might have heard of the upcoming line of cosmetics about to be released by CoverGirl. Now, being a girl who both likes the Hunger Games and make-up I am totally ecstatic for this new line to launch. This was a truly masterminded idea by CoverGirl. (You smarties!) Knowing that the Hunger Games was one of the newest box office hits (what does that even mean?) and that their new movie is coming up soon, it's the perfect timing to launch this new line. It will definitely build up lots of anticipation for girls at this time. If you want to be up to date, check out this website: http://capitolcouture.pn/. The website leads you to the Capitol Couture, featuring Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks). She does an absolute job conveying the role as Effie. =D

Free People: Sheer Genius

Well, let me just first say the Free People's new Sheer Genius is just - GENIUS. Right now, sheer is trending very fast, and with a brilliant new idea from Free People, this is going to go fast! I love that they put it in all white colours on their page to make it look lightly sheered and feminine. Here are some clothes that I liked. They are mostly tops, and I think there was one skirt, but I wasn't a big fan on that one. But I love this new idea.

A new collection from Free People called Washed Ashore never upsets. Their new line of clothes for the summer will last you all the way through until the fall for your convenience. I especially love the light and effortless pink dress at the top called Raw Tulle Maxi Dress. Very flowy and free. Pair it with the Trapped Inside Necklace, and you are goof for the day. I would also get some brown or white gladiators or even some Zara heels, to walk downtown. It was just made for the beach. - Washed Ashore -

CoverGirl: Clean Powder

A while back, I bought a new covergirl foundation from Wal-Mart. I don't remember the exct price, but it was an okay medum ranged price for the product. What I love about it is that it's cased in glass, and it looks very elegant. I know my picutres are not that great, and they may be a little tad orangey, but I think you can notice the glass rim around it.

I also love how they made the casing for the product, and the blue tones of the compact case shimmers in the light. I also like that the font of Covergirl's makeup looks so sleek!! :D

So I bought this Covergirl Clean Powder Foundation in 525 Buff Beige, and I chose this one in Oil Control, because I have quite oil skin, especially in the summer (Gross!). The colour of the packaging depends on the type of skin you have. If you have Sensitive Skin, then the pack will be dark green, and so on. It varies. I wish I waited because now they released a Covergirl Clean Powder Foundation for Combination Skin or something like that. I forgot.

In the pack, it comes with an already made dabbing, sort of pad, to apply the powder. I think that it was a really good deal, because my face was in total shock when it opened up and I saw that. I was like "BONUS!!!!" Hahaha. So yeah, I was pleased with that. All I don't like about it, is that after a while, the pad can get pretty full with powder, and it would look dirty. :( That's the only minus. The padding is quite soft though, so it won't be rough on your skin like a brush would be.

It also has a built in mirror, to check on how you look every now and then, or to reapply make-up when ever you feel like it. I think that was also a bonus  because sometimes I find it soooo annoying not having a mirror when you want it. All I have is my locker mirror. UGHH!

The coverage of this product is minimal, or very sheer, unless you cake it on like crazy - like I know some people do. :P I guess that's a good thing because I don't want to myself looking like a clown, or too much that someone will notice it's weird.
